Our Lady of the Holy Rosary School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) for a full six-year (highest) accreditation. The school has a long history of receiving this significant (maximum awarded) six-year accreditation.
OLHR provides a comprehensive pre-school through 8th-grade curriculum as stipulated by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and according to California State Standards in the following subjects: math, English, reading, spelling, social studies, science, art, religion, technology, and physical education. Students are assessed through the annual STAR assessment, which is conducted over a two-week period three times a year.
Title I services are provided to the school through the Los Angeles Unified School District, which helps students in areas of reading and math. Students who require extra assistance attend Title I classes during the school day with a reading or math specialist. At times, students may face problems that affect their academic performance, so school counselors sponsored by Counseling Partners of Los Angeles are available to help students with study and/or conflict resolution skills, or emotional stresses that may affect their grades and/or behavior.
