For over 75 years, Our Lady of the Holy Rosary School has been providing a quality, Catholic education to its students. OLHR School’s dedicated faculty remains committed to the children who attend the school so that they may succeed academically, grow in mind, body, and spirit to a life of service and achievement.
OLHR School has a long history of consecutive six-year accreditation (the maximum available) from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Western Catholic Education Association (WCEA). In accordance with its commitment to excellence, OLHR educators hold college degrees. In addition, each teacher holds either a Teaching Credential or Master’s degree in Education or related fields or is enrolled in a master’s degree program.
OLHR provides a comprehensive Pre-School through 8th-grade curriculum as stipulated by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and according to California State Standards in the following subjects: Mathematics, English, Reading, Spelling, Social Studies, Science, Art, Music, Religion, Technology, and Physical Education. The school offers instruction for the 200 days extended school year. Progress reports and grades are made current through Gradelink online. In addition, the school implements the approved program of Good Touch/Bad Touch and VIRTUS teaching Touching Safety (Mandated September 1, 2006) for safe environment by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
